FYI - I’m not an actual contestant, I was commenting on the contest and wanted a resource to watch. Initially I was thinking of doing it but you got the jump;)

Damn right! I’m at page 18 now on Google with only 180 positions to move up! Mr.Ward had better watch out
Knox, who knows. You could win without trying.

I’ve decided (after reading GB’s blog on topic) to limit my efforts to my single blog post (which took all of 5-10 minutes to create). In case you missed his post, he suggested that Google will use this little exercise to closely examine all the extreme measures some of the participants might use to improve their position in the SERPs. While I would never resort to gaming Google for SERP strength, I believe I’ll sit on the sideline and see who’s blog’s / platforms / linking strategies seem to work. No point in p’ing off the big G.
Oh …. and who’s the PhoenixRealEstateGuy ….. :-O ?

Politics (as with SEO) is complicated business. It will be interesting to see what happens here.

I also had been thinking for a while that this might not be the best idea as well. At first my competitive nature wanted me to join in, even knowing that I did not have a strong enough platform from which to attempt to compete from. I wish all the best to the other contestants and will watch closely.

Interesting that Jennifer Mackay is not nominee!
Any particular reason? She is on page 1 for a few data centers.

Chuck, She certainly is. and you can see her name as well as the other top 30 on many other post on this blog. I’m just one guy with a full time job. I’ve got 7 pending contracts, 35 listings and 6 other websites to run. I try to keep things updated but don’t be surprised if I’m sometimes a day or two behind. Try on the GREAitW firefox extension if you want up to the minute results.
